The new Protect Young Drivers website was presented to senior police and roads policing officers and the driver education community from across the UK at the recent UKROEd/NPCC Roads Policing Conference.
Rebecca Morris (pictured), who helped develop the site with the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS), introduced www.protectyoungdrivers.com at the event in Manchester on October 22, 2025.
Hosted by the PACTS, the website has been created as a shared resource for all stakeholders working to reduce young driver risk. It brings together evidence, research and real-life stories to support coordinated action on young and novice driver safety.
Delegates heard how the site is already supported by national organisations including the NPCC, NFCC, RAC Foundation, TRL, PACTS, The AA, Brake, RoadPeace, IAM RoadSmart, Road Safety GB and Police and Crime Commissioners.
The conference presentation highlighted the site’s role in helping police, local authorities and partners access consistent, evidence-based information to inform education, enforcement and engagement activity aimed at saving young lives on the road.
